Bachelor of Law
The Law Study Program at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, is a higher education program focused on developing superior, competitive, and internationally recognized legal human resources, with a focus on strengthening the local wisdom of the Maluku Islands. This program implements the Tri Dharma of Higher Education based on Outcome Based Education (OBE) to produce graduates who are professional, possess integrity, and adapt to the dynamics of national and international law. Through a curriculum aligned with the National Higher Education Standards, KKNI, and ECTS, as well as national and international academic collaboration, the Legal Studies Study Program prepares graduates capable of acting as practitioners, bureaucrats, consultants, academics, researchers, and legal entrepreneurs who uphold justice and contribute to legal development at the local, national, and international levels.

The Learning Outcomes for Graduates of the Law Study Program, Faculty of Law, UNPATTI, consist of aspects of attitude, knowledge, general skills, and specific skills. The description of each Learning Outcome for Graduates is as follows:
- Able to demonstrate attitudes, behavior, and character that are devout to God Almighty and uphold humanitarian values in carrying out duties based on religion, morals and ethics, as well as contributing to community life, based on Pancasila.
- Able to act as a proud citizen who loves his country, has nationalism and a sense of responsibility to the state and nation and respects the diversity of cultures, views, religions and beliefs, as well as the original opinions or findings of others.
- Able to obey the law, be disciplined and internalize academic values, norms and ethics that meet international standards in community life with an archipelagic character.
- Able to internalize a responsible attitude, a spirit of independence and entrepreneurship in working in his/her field of expertise independently.
- Able to master the concepts and theories of legal science, and basic knowledge in the field of law, including Civil Law, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, State Administrative Law, International Law, Agrarian Law, Commercial Law, Environmental Law, both material (substantial) and formal (procedural) aspects;
- Able to master knowledge of the principles and steps for solving legal problems through the methods of legal deduction, legal induction, legal discovery, legal construction as well as knowledge of legal research, both normative legal research and empirical legal research, by having a level of mastery in the use of logical, systematic and innovative thinking methods.
- Able to master legal knowledge in legal philosophy and legal sociology, so as to have a level of legal mastery in a contextual, systemic and holistic manner.
- Able to apply logical, critical, systematic, innovative and collaborative thinking and demonstrate independent, quality and measurable performance in the context of developing or implementing legal science.
- Able to implement legal science based on scientific rules, procedures and ethics, compile the results of the study, both normative and empirical, of the above law in the form of a thesis, and upload it to the university website and be able to make appropriate decisions in the context of solving problems in the field of legal science, based on the results of legal analysis according to legal materials and legal data.
- Able to maintain and develop work networks, be responsible for achieving group work results and carry out self-evaluation processes for work groups under his/her responsibility, and be able to manage learning independently;
- Able to document, store, secure, and retrieve data to ensure validity and prevent plagiarism.
- Able to formulate legal concepts and legal analysis in resolving legal cases through juridical thinking methods based on theoretical knowledge of law and Indonesian positive law and can demonstrate results as basic skills in carrying out the legal profession;
- Able to formulate ideas logically, critically and analytically through legal argumentation skills regarding positive Indonesian law and demonstrate results through academic communication, both verbally and in writing, in accordance with academic ethics;
- Able to act and behave based on legal professional ethics in designing and implementing laws in society.
Core Competencies
The main competencies of graduates of the Legal Studies Study Program are: Able to formulate and practice legal concepts, both in regional, national and international scopes as well as in individual, collective and societal relations in general, in order to realize legal certainty that is just for the interests of the nation, state and international community.
Supporting Competencies are graduates with the ability to analyze and solve actual legal problems;
Additional Competencies are graduates with the ability to develop legal knowledge according to the needs faced. To fulfill this competency, the curriculum structure of the Legal Studies Study Program consists of core courses and supporting courses. Core courses are the main basis for the ability to think, analyze and evaluate, plan, and provide solutions in the legal field. Meanwhile, supporting courses for the ability to work according to their position in government, organizations and society in which they are involved in the form of the ability to analyze legal issues in national and social life, then assess, provide legal opinions and determine decisions/policies that are illustrated and measurable in writing and thesis examinations.
The curriculum with such a structure is aimed at fulfilling the vision of the study program, namely to become a Center for Human Resource Development and legal science based on the archipelagic and maritime regions, and with the mission of developing legal science, legal skills and local wisdom values as well as implementing and disseminating legal science based on the archipelagic and maritime regions for the welfare of the people in the archipelagic regions.
Supporting competencies for graduates
To strengthen the competency of graduates in the Legal Studies Study Program, Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, the Faculty of Law curriculum is designed to provide training in the form of Legal Skills Education and Training (PLKH) with 10 credits including:
I. Litigation Practice
- Criminal Justice Practice
- Civil Court Practice
- State Administrative Court Practice
II. Non-Litigation Practices
- Legislative Drafting
- Contract Drafting
It is expected that graduates of the Law Study Program, Faculty of Law, Unpatti will be able to:
- Inventory, process, analyze and interpret legal information and documentation;
- Skilled in reading, writing and expressing opinions and arguing actively;
- Able to master the standardization of legal science instruments.
Other competencies / graduate options:
The graduates' chosen competencies determined by the Law Study Program, Faculty of Law, Unpatti are to provide support for every Student Organization activity, both material and non-material, so that graduates are able to lead and have leadership skills, are able to organize and work independently or in groups, have initiative, are responsive and have high integrity and discipline.
In addition, the skills that students are expected to possess are the ability to play a role in civil, criminal, state administrative trials, and trials at the Constitutional Court, as well as being skilled in scientific debates.
The profile of a graduate of the Law Study Program, Faculty of Law, UNPATTI, is a pious, noble, intellectual, and professional law graduate who has mastered legal knowledge and applied it in social activities. Graduates of the Law Study Program, Faculty of Law, UNPATTI, are expected to work as law enforcement officers, bureaucrats, educators/lecturers, and legal consultants.

The profile of a graduate of the Law Study Program of the Faculty of Law, UNPATTI, can be fulfilled by having the Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) of the Law Study Program of the Faculty of Law, UNPATTI, based on the results Tracer Study in accordance with the needs of graduate use in the Maluku Province region, as well as fulfilling the KKNI and the development of science and technology.
