The Unpatti Faculty of Law Delegation Won Second Place in the National Moot Court Competition Prof. Muntaha II Cup

In the competition, the Universitas Pattimura Faculty of Law delegation won second place in the Prof. Muntaha II trophy, awarded to the Faculty of Law, Halu Oleo University, Kendari. The event took place from September 22–25, 2023, at the Corruption Court in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi.

National Moot Court Ccompetition The second Prof. Muntaha Cup was held because of the disparity between the distance of the competitions held by universities on the island of Java, so that many universities in eastern Indonesia did not participate. National Moot Court Ccompetition, due to the very high costs. It also aims to improve student participation in events for Halu Oleo University students and all university students in Indonesia, both formally and materially.

Competitions or events related to mock trials, usually called mock trial competitions or National Moot Court Ccompetition (NMCC) is the highest and most prestigious competition for law students throughout Indonesia. More and more emerging universities are participating in this competition. There are many benefits and goals to be gained from this competition, including learning, experience, and new friends. Students from all ethnicities, religions, backgrounds, social statuses, and economic backgrounds, among others, are the goal of every team participating in this competition. Winning and being the champion is the goal of every team.

The preparation for this moot court competition is lengthy and gradual. From preparing the documents to practicing the trial, it's certainly time-consuming and exhausting. However, the effort is offset by the benefits, knowledge, and experience gained through this activity.
