As we enter 2026, legal higher education in Indonesia is at a crucial crossroads between academic strengthening and increasingly dynamic professional demands. Amidst the need for law graduates who excel not only theoretically but also are adaptable, skilled, and possess character, the role of law lecturers is becoming increasingly crucial in shaping the quality of human resources in the legal field.
Law lecturers are no longer positioned merely as classroom instructors, but rather as strategic actors bridging the academic world with the actual practice of law. In this context, Favorite Law Lecturer Award 2025 be a reflection of the real contribution of legal educators in producing a generation of jurists who are relevant to the needs of the times.
This publication of a list of inspiring law lecturers was compiled based on descriptive quantitative research methods using a survey approach. The quantitative approach was used to obtain an overview, identify trends, and analyze law students' preferences for teaching quality, practical skills, soft skills mastery, and support for the use of digital legal services.
Prior to the survey, the university, through the Dean of the Faculty or Law Study Program, provided a consent form for participation. This survey was aimed at students currently studying in the Bachelor of Law Study Program at the law faculty within the program. University Solutions (Unisol) Hukumonline.
In addition to mapping the learning practices and needs of law students, the survey also aims to gather data on student preferences for lecturers deemed inspiring on campus. The assessment includes aspects of material delivery, the quality of class discussions, and the academic mentoring process carried out by lecturers.
Other aspects that are of concern include the lecturer's ability to apply innovative teaching methods, create an interactive and conducive classroom atmosphere, provide constructive feedback, present case studies relevant to legal practice, be fair and objective in assessment, be easily accessible for discussion, build good academic relationships with students, and demonstrate concern for students' academic development.
Based on the survey results, one of the lecturers from the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, was successfully included in the list. 35 Inspirational Law Lecturers 2025, that is Dr. Hadibah Zachra WadjoThis achievement recognizes his dedication and contribution to the development of legal education, particularly in developing a learning process that is relevant, applicable, and oriented to student needs.
This success is expected to be a shared motivation for the academic community of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura to continue to improve the quality of legal education, strengthen an excellent academic culture, and prepare law graduates who are competitive at the national and global levels.
