Ambon (5/3), The Farewell and Welcoming Ceremony for the New Chancellor of Universitas Pattimura for the 2012-2016 period held at the Auditorium of Universitas Pattimura began at 10.00 WIT precisely. This event was attended by the entire Academic Community of Universitas Pattimura, starting from the former Chancellor Prof. Dr. HPB Tetelepta, M.Pd. and his wife, the new Chancellor Prof. Dr. Th. Pentury, M.Si., the vice Chancellors, the Deans of Faculties and their Vice Deans, the Heads of Bureaus, the Heads of Institutions, lecturers, administrative staff, the Heads of BEM, DPMU, DPMF, students, and security.
The event began with remarks from the former rector, followed by remarks from the new rector. The new rector then presented souvenirs to the former rector and his wife. A choir from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) and dance performances by students also graced the event. The event concluded with a prayer and followed by a communal lunch.
Our hope is that the new rector will lead Universitas Pattimura to become a leading university, both in Indonesia and internationally.
