Graduation Ceremony and Deployment of Graduates of the Faculty of Law, Unpatti

UNPATTI,- The graduation ceremony and presentation of 194 new graduates of the Universitas Pattimura Faculty of Law for the August 2023 graduation period was held in the Faculty of Law Hall on Thursday (August 24). The 194 graduates comprised 176 graduates from the main campus and 18 graduates from Off-Campus Study Programs (PSDKU).

The Chairperson of the Senate of the Faculty of Law, Dr. AD Bakarbessy, SH, LL.M. officially opened the graduation ceremony and continued with the reading of the Dean's Decree regarding the Graduation Ceremony and Graduate Ceremony, Graduate Inauguration, reading of the Panca Purna Ikrar and handover of graduates from the Dean to the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Dr. Saartje Sarah Alfons, SH, MH

Graduation and Graduate Ceremony in this August period, the Faculty of Law produced 46 graduates with Cumlaude predicate, and the presentation of sashes to representatives of 6 Cumlaude graduates and the presentation of certificates to the winners of the 2023 Faculty of Law Outstanding Student Selection (PILMAPRES)., Winner of the 2023 Social Media Favorite Mungare., National University Championship (NUDC)., 1st Place in the Faculty of Law Anniversary Debate Competition, Mulawarman University., Inter-university Pencak Silat Champion to win the rotating trophy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia., Champion of the Debate Competition Civic Law Scientific Fair Faculty of Law Team, and the Indonesian Student Debate Competition (KDMI) Regional XII ranked 3rd best Best Speaker in the Regional Level 12 Debate Competition year 2023.

"Congratulations on reaching a new level of your true journey of struggle. For several years you have been following the lecture process, today you enter the next stage of the process, where the knowledge gained during lectures must be put at stake to achieve all your dreams. Continue learning and apply the knowledge you have in the community," said Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance Prof. Dr. Jantje Tjiptabudy, SH, M.Hum in his brief remarks.  

Senate Chairman Dr. AD Bakarbessy, SH, LL.M. gave motivation to the graduates, to never accept pity from others because during their studies the graduates have been equipped with knowledge, for that reason the graduates must be able to innovate with full responsibility and totality in accordance with the motto of the Faculty of Law. Ad Augusta Per Angusta .

"I hope that all the knowledge gained during the learning process can be a provision for graduates in facing challenges in the real world," he concluded.

Dr. Rory Jeff Akyuwen, SH, M.Hum., Dean of the Faculty of Law, stated in his remarks that one of the university's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is determined by how quickly the university can produce graduates who can secure decent jobs, become entrepreneurs, and continue their studies. Therefore, the dean hopes that graduates will provide data as alumni to support the university's KPIs.

The Dean also hopes that alumni of the Faculty of Law will be able to bring good name to their alma mater in responding to various challenges that occur in society.

Representing the graduates, Meisye Palsiana Huwae, SH, in her message and determination, said that the struggle during her education was the most valuable moment to remember because all the struggles can be enjoyed with the title obtained today, but this is not the end of the struggle, but rather the beginning of the struggle that will be undertaken, for that reason, keep fighting and never give up, remain optimistic in working.
