JAKARTA – The National Committee (Joint Selection for Entrance to State Universities (SBMPTN) 2013 has set the announcement of the results of the SBMPTN 2013 written exam to be announced on July 9.
"The announcement of the results of the SBMPTN written exam will be announced on July 9 2013," said the General Chair of the 2013 SBMPTN National Committee, Akhmaloka, when confirmed by Okezone, Thursday (4/7/2013).
Originally, the schedule for announcing the results of the SBMPTN written exam was July 12, 2013, but it was moved forward to July 9, 2013. However, Akhmaloka continued, the entire process of checking the results of the SBMPTN was claimed to be completed before July 9, 2013, although it did not rule out the possibility that the announcement of the SBMPTN results would be moved forward.
"The reason the SBMPTN written exam results were brought forward is because the exam questions are being corrected and it is estimated that the corrections will be completed between July 7 and 8, 2013," said the Chancellor of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
Departing from there, his party will hold a press conference regarding the announcement of the results of the 2013 SBMPTN written exam on July 8.
"On Monday, July 8 2013, there will be a press conference in Jakarta and that afternoon it will be announced on the official SBMPTN website," he said.
He also denied that the announcement of the results of the 2013 SBMPTN written exam was brought forward because it coincided with the start of the month of Ramadan.
"If the corrections were faster, why weren't they brought forward? If the results were announced on July 12, 2013, the correction process would have been completed before July 9, 2013, which would have taken too long," Akhmaloka added. (ade)
