Unpatti,– The Extraordinary Open Meeting of the Senate of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, which was held in the framework of the 66th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law, and was officially opened by the Chair of the Senate, Dr. AD Bakarbessy, SH., LL.M, took place in the Hall on the 1st floor of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, Monday (3/10).
On that occasion, a Scientific Oration was delivered “Law Anniversary Oration in the Perspective of Solidarity” by Prof. Dr. Merry Tjoanda, SH, MH and continued with a public lecture by the Deputy President Director of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Hamra Samal, SH, M.Hum. with the topic “Rising Amidst Challenges”.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. RJ Akyuwen, SH., M.Hum in his speech said that the 66-year journey of the law faculty is a long journey in achieving achievements in achieving accreditation. In accordance with the mission of the Faculty of Law, namely to become an Excellent and professional Faculty with international standards through the development of character-based law, thus the law faculty always strives to provide the best for the development of the quality of education, this is demonstrated by the accreditation obtained. In 2016 the law faculty obtained A accreditation, in 2019 it received an ISO 9001: 2015 certificate, and in 2022 the law faculty has obtained this Superior accreditation, making history on its 66th Anniversary this year.

He continued, the theme raised in this anniversary is "Solidarity For Growth" meaning solidarity for growth, chosen as a form of gratitude to return together to increase the sense of solidarity and interaction among the academic community of the Faculty of Law. In accordance with the number 66, the 66th Anniversary of the Faculty of Law held 66 activities that support the Tridharma of Higher Education including 52 research and community service activities and other activities included in a series of activities in the fields of sports, arts and culture, social action, digital technology, and scientific competence. "The Faculty of Law always strives to provide the best service supported by the development of teaching staff resources in accordance with standards and competencies, which are supported by learning facilities that support the entire learning process," explained the Dean.

At the same time, Vice Rector for General Affairs and Finance Dr. Jantje Tjiptabudy, SH, M.Hum. in his remarks said that at the age of 66, the Faculty of Law has reached its point by holding superior accreditation, a journey and process that needs to be interpreted well and with gratitude. The resources of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Law must continue to be encouraged to achieve doctoral and professorship degrees, and the development of educational staff in carrying out their main duties and functions, all of which will lead to supporting the superior accreditation that has been held. Tjiptabudi also hopes that all academics and educational staff will work together to build the Faculty of Law with all its potential to advance and bring honor to the Faculty on the national and international stage.

This activity was attended by the Chancellor of Universitas Pattimura, teaching staff and administrative staff as well as students within the Faculty of Law.
