UNPATTI,- Universitas Pattimura Chancellor Prof. Dr., Fredy Leiwakabessy, M.Pd officially inaugurated Prof. Dr. Adonia Ivonne Laturette., SH, MH as Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura for the 2024-2028 period. The inauguration was carried out based on the Decree of the Chancellor of Universitas Pattimura number 668/UN13/SK/2026 on Monday, March 2nd at the Universitas Pattimura Rectorate Hall.
Universitas Pattimura Rector Prof. Dr. Fredy Leiwakabessy, M.Pd., stated that the entire academic community needs to have a sense of responsibility and a sense of belonging to the institution. To make Universitas Pattimura a leading and shining university at the national and even international levels, collective solidarity is needed.
The rector urged that differences of opinion or displeasure with individuals should not develop into attitudes detrimental to the institution. Leadership, he explained, is dynamic and will continue to change according to time and prevailing regulations. Therefore, sustainability, stability, and good governance must be maintained.
"Congratulations to the new leadership. We hope we can work together to advance and bring success to the Faculty of Law at Universitas Pattimura. May togetherness, a sense of family, and a spirit of brotherhood be the main foundations in building this educational institution," he concluded.
At the end of his remarks, the Chancellor hoped that all academics and educational staff would remain active in maintaining unity, security, and justice, and continue to work with integrity for the advancement of Universitas Pattimura.
Prior to the inauguration of the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, an election process was held in which Prof. Dr. AI Laturette, SH, MH won with 22 votes, surpassing Dr. ERM Toule, SH, MH who received 5 votes. Present at the inauguration were the Vice Chancellors, Heads of Institutions, Deans, Heads of Bureaus, Academics and Education Staff of the Faculty of Law, Clergy, and families.
