Signing of the Integrity Pact, IKU and Launching of the Faculty of Law's Integrated Service Unit, as well as Breaking the Fast Together at Universitas Pattimura 1447 H/2026

UNPATTI,- Universitas Pattimura held an event to sign the Integrity Pact, Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and Launch the Integrated Service Unit of the Faculty of Law, on Tuesday, 24/02 at the Courtyard of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura.
 
Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, Dr. Ruslan HS Tawari, S.Pi, M.Sc expressed his appreciation to the rector and vice-rectors for their support in developing the Faculty of Law. He explained that the Faculty of Law is a pioneer in the international accreditation process, with 13 study programs projected to participate in international accreditation schemes, including through the ACQUIN accreditation agency. (Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute).
 
In addition, he also emphasized that the signing of the Integrity Pact is a strategic step to ensure that all leaders and academics work consistently, measurably, and in line with the direction of the Chancellor's policies.
 
He emphasized that the signing of the KPI is a derivative of the performance contract between the rector and the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. Therefore, all faculty leaders, lecturers, and educational staff are expected to understand and internalize performance indicators in their daily tasks. Performance evaluation, he stated, is part of the process of fostering and strengthening governance, not a form of pressure.
 
The Governor of Maluku, represented by the Regional Secretary, Ir. Sadali Ie, M.Sc, IPU in his remarks said that the signing of the Integrity Pact was not just a ceremony, but a statement of moral commitment from all leaders and academics to carry out their duties and responsibilities honestly, transparently, and accountably, and free from all forms of deviation.
 
He said that the determination of the KPI is also seen as a strategic step to ensure that every program and policy has a clear, measurable direction and provides a real impact on improving the quality of the institution.
 
He further expressed his appreciation for the Faculty of Law's initiative in launching the Integrated Services Unit (ULT) as a one-stop shop. ULT is expected to integrate academic and non-academic services in an efficient, fast, easy, and transparent system, providing students, lecturers, educational staff, and the general public with access to more professional services.
 
"As a center for the development of knowledge and the character formation of the nation's next generation, the campus must be a role model in implementing the principles of good governance. Through strengthened integrity, measurable KPIs, and an integrated service system, the Faculty of Law is expected to further strengthen its position as a leading center for the development of legal science in eastern Indonesia," he concluded.
 
We hope that all parties will always be given strength and guidance in carrying out their duties of service to the nation, state and people of Maluku.
 
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of Universitas Pattimura, Prof. Dr. Fredy Leiwakabessy, M.Pd., in his remarks, expressed his appreciation for the presence of local government elements, heads of vertical agencies, alumni, and academics in the current activity.
 
He explained that the signing of the Integrity Pact and IKU is a step to strengthen collective awareness in managing higher education institutions based on the Public Service Agency (BLU) model, which has been in place since 2018. The transformation of governance towards a complete BLU requires a restructuring of mindsets, systems, and work paradigms so that institutional performance is measurable and accountable.
 
"The university's KPI now consists of nine indicators, which serve as performance targets for rectors based on a contract with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. KPI achievement at the university level is determined by the involvement of faculty and institutional leaders. Therefore, the signing of the KPI is seen as a shared commitment to directing academic and financial management professionally," he explained.
 
The Chancellor said that the launch of Integrated Academic Services at the Faculty of Law is also part of strengthening the integrity zone towards an area free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism.
 
"The university's progress is supported by two main pillars: strengthening and deepening scientific knowledge through education, research, and community service, as well as implementing integrity in every aspect of governance. By consistently and sustainably implementing these two principles, he believes Universitas Pattimura will not only be able to exceed national higher education standards but also compete internationally," the rector concluded.
 
The signing ceremony of the Integrity Pact and IKU was carried out by the chancellor, vice chancellors, deans and vice deans, directors and vice directors of postgraduate programs, heads and secretaries of institutions, as well as educational staff within Universitas Pattimura.
 
The series of events concluded with a moment of togetherness in the form of a Joint Fast-Breaking at Universitas Pattimura 1447 H/2026 which is expected to strengthen ties, strengthen the sense of togetherness, and foster a spirit of kinship among the academic community and education staff.
