Higher education institutions as centers for the study and development of science are expected to provide the greatest possible contribution and benefits to the lives of the community.
The International Law Department of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Patti, is increasingly making strides in developing science and technology, particularly in the field of law. It is fully aware that in this era of rapid globalization, which is reaching almost every corner of the globe, Indonesia must be ready to enter this era.
The multidimensionality of this globalization era certainly has a significant impact on Indonesia, which borders neighboring countries, especially in the aspects of natural resource management, economics, politics, socio-culture and law. This is what then became the focus and highlight of the International Law section of the Faculty of Law, UNPATTI, to be discussed in a national symposium with the theme "Legal Dimensions of Sustainable Marine and Fisheries Resource Management in Indonesia", which is planned to take place from 5-7 August 2018 at the Swiss-Belhotel. This national symposium is planned to present the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Dr. (HC) Susi Pudjiastuti as the Keynote Speaker, and several Plenary Speakers such as Prof. Hikmahanto Juwana SH, LL.M, Ph.D., Head of the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency and the Governor of Maluku.
Furthermore, the event will serve as a forum for discussion among thinkers, particularly lecturers in International Law. This symposium promises to be highly engaging, as it will showcase a variety of constructive and innovative ideas to address the multidimensional challenges of marine management.
Ahead of the event, the organizing committee is scheduled to meet with the Indonesian Society of International Law Lecturers (ISILL) Management in Jakarta. Hopefully, all these activities will proceed according to the shared hopes and aspirations of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Pattimura, amidst various challenges and dynamics, in accordance with the motto "Ad Agusta Per Angusta; Growing in Challenges."
Registration starts from the date 22 May 2018 to 14 July 2018 (registration sheet attached in the TOR), with the following mechanism:
